Ode to Elm Coffee
Table: 50 tall x 460 long x 100 cm wide This
was the first piece of furniture I built while at Selkirk College in their
Fine Woodworking Program.
It is made from a healthy elm tree that had been cut down in front
of my home in Revelstoke, British Columbia.
Although no replacement for a live, beautiful tree, this souvenir
can be enjoyed as beautifully grained wood.
Black walnut on the legs, the bottom of the rails, the knob, and
the inlay accents the grain of the elm.
